What Makes a Great Blog?

Hi, guys! After some long debates with myself whether to "spam" my blog or not, I'm popping the question here as well. Basically, I need a little feedback from you even if it's just a couple of words on what makes a great blog for you? Although I'm collecting the data for my "Networks and Connectivity" module at uni, I've chosen this topic to hear your opinion on this matter and take some notes to improve my own blog.

Those of you who have already commented via Twitter, Facebook or Formspring, please ignore this post, but if anyone else wants to add anything- feel free to comment! Please note, it's not about my blog, but any blogs in general! I'm looking for a pattern as well as something unusual.

All opinions are valued and appreciated, so thank you in advance! I shall be back with you as soon as I'm done with two presentations this week! It's my Birthday this weekend, so fun times are coming too, just not yet :-)

Event: LFW (Round Up)

So the LFW is now over and it's not fun to find myself overloaded with uni work that's due in early next week.

But anyway, it was my first Fashion Week when I had the shows scheduled for each day and as I went to some and skipped others, it was a much needed experience to figure out what is it I am interested in about the whole FW thing. I can now say that I'm definitely more into photography part of it rather than fashion as I didn't seem to care too much about what was on the runway, worrying about getting some good shots instead. Backstage is definitely a way to go for me next season, but for now here is a selection of shots from several shows/presentations I went to:

Event: Antipodium AW12 @ LFW

Been to a few shows this weekend and this one has been my favourite so far. I don't want to bore you with catwalk photos of each of the shows and might do a general recap at the end of the fashion week instead. Event: Art Exhibition Opening

I almost had to turn to my smokey eyes tutorial when getting ready for tonight's event to remind myself of the process. I've lost my skills completely over the Summer but I sort of missed that look! Maybe it's time to bring it back with LFW starting tomorrow. Yay for my first shows, warmer weather and first signs of Spring both in the air and in the wardrobe!

Last Thursday I was invited to Jones and Jones (remember this pleated skirt?) party to celebrate their 4th Birthday and see the new pieces. Someone managed to fall asleep in the car on our way there, so we had to be terribly late but I still got a peek into their new collection and enjoyed the night.

Thinking Out Loud

Tonight I was putting my son to sleep and I told him that one day he will grow up and no longer live with me and his Dad, but will have a family of his own, his wife and kids. He asked me why, I explained that this is what happens when people grow up, just as me and his Dad don't live with our parents anymore and live together, with our baby. He replied sadly "but Mum, I want to always live with you" and gave me a tight hug, and added that he wanted to live with me and a little sister. He'd been asking for a sister for a while now. Perhaps he realises having a brother is not that fun already having to share the toys with my younger brother? Either way, I feel truly blessed at such moments. He's a great child and now is his most interesting age and I don't want to miss out on it. He asks me a thousand questions a day and stops whatever he is doing just to come and give me a hug or say that he loves me.

I don't usually write anything like that on the blog, but just felt like saying it tonight. Someone asked me earlier why do I post so rarely and said that I'm supposed to have a spare time for that because I'm a blogger. Well, I am a Mother above all and I'm old enough to get my priorities right. I wouldn't trade that special time with my baby for anything else. I am thankful to you lot who understand that I have a life and my responsibilities apart from dressing up and producing new posts. In fact, I am working on one now, but thank you for your patience and for sticking around!

Ana's Art

It was kindly sent to me by Ana some time ago (thank you, dear!) and I'm pleased to add it to my growing collection of your art! That is the original photo, but if only I could make sketches myself, that's probably what they would look like- love the technique and colours! More of Ana's work can be found on her blog.

Neutrals and Brights

I know it's too early to complain about uni after almost two-month-long vacation but this week has been really tiring, perhaps because of my son's settling in the new nursery, so I'm glad to have a day off! Sharing many more photos of the outfit inside as well as some family snaps from the last weekend.

The weather in London has been relatively good (read as non-freezing) lately, so I decided to wear my second faux fur jacket from Romwe before it is too warm- love its cream colour and tan trims for a bit of change. The necklace might be my only neck piece as I'm not big on jewellery but I couldn't resist this crystal bullet! The coated pants in black are the substitution for my highly-abused purple pair and the clutch was scored on sale in Zara a couple of weeks ago. It actually goes with many more colours/garments in my wardrobe than I originally thought of and also has a beautiful tassle and a strap chain which converts it into a more convenient shoulder bag. I also wore it for dinner the night before having combined it with a darker colour for contrast.

This boy... he just loves to do that! :-)

A Perfect Sunday

My trip to Estonia in a sentence: great time with my family and a terrible flu. I'm only just recovering from it now, but staying home didn't bother me much since all I wanted to do anyway was enjoy some time with my loved ones. The weather has been untypically snowless for Estonia this year and therefore disappointing, but we were blessed enough to have a snowfall on the weekend before my return trip, so I couldn't resist taking a walk to Old Town. I haven't planned to post the pictures from "sightseeing" in my own city and simply clicked them to remind myself about the beautiful place I left behind 5 years ago (am I becoming too nostalgic here...?) but I ended up adding a few pictures inside for those who interested...

Although it hasn't been the best Winter so far, it was still magical out there. Eat that, London's made-up-Winter Wonderland ;-)

UPDATE: Good morning people, hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas so far! I'm not up to much tonight as I'm going away early next week and got too many things to do, but I made sure to visit this super cool store in Dalston before I went away. I've been there once before when me and my friend attended their launch party a couple of weeks back (last two photos), but after being getting their newsletters for months I finally gave in to the temptation to return and check out their amazing product selection as well. The store stocks anything from big brands to up-and-coming designers which for me as a fashion student is a godsend. And how cool is the interior on its own? I'd say definitely check it out if you are after unusual and innovative, just don't forget to make your appointment here and have their lovely staff welcome you ;-)

Making notes on some gift ideas at Westfield while waiting around for the boy; I'm sensing a massive Disney's "Cars" cartoon section raid later on this week... Got two little buddies to please (my son and my brother).

Please note how my hair casually matches my shorts, it reminds me of this Soviet cartoon where the little boy's hair thoughtfully matches his Mum's jumper and her hair matches his blanket in return :D Yes, you can tell I grew up watching this!

P.S. While there, I've accidently stumbled upon my friends with their newborn son which just made my day. I miss my own boy being so tiny; that time passes by so fast you can never get enough of it!

Sorry for the delay guys, my Internet has been on and off which certainly doesn't help to finish off and finally hand in all my uni work to be enjoying the idea of approaching Christmas. It's amazing around. Can't wait to be on my well-deserved holiday... You can tell I'm rushing it by putting up my Christmas tree a little too early in November (pictures 5-10) but I just love the cosiness and peace that it adds to the atmosphere at home ;-)

Hiya! Those of you who now follow me on Twitter already know I've been shooting a little video interview for my fashion assignment earlier in the afternoon. It's my first ever attempt at editing a video and I'm kind of happy how it turned out! Special thanks to Naomi for faking a stranger and randomly chatting to me about her put-together-in-a-ladies-room-five-minutes-earlier outfit LOL! But it actually made me think of real series of real people on the streets, or maybe video outfit posts on Intrigue Me Now? We shall see.

Around Town: Bricklane Colours

Some photos I snapped a couple of days ago while out and about in Bricklane. Love the pops of colour in accessories or hair itself; since I will never find the guts to do something THAT radical to my own tresses, it's fun to at least have something to look at and get inspired.

Right now I'm off to get ready for the photography/poetry event that's been organized by our course and hopefully I will manage to get some photos to show you including the outfit. At the same time I'm gonna try to make the use out of my twitter account that I set up a long time ago but never used; find me here if you wish. Finally somewhat a proper outfit post for you, managed to click these just before heading to uni for the shoot I shared with you below. Don't be fooled by my bare legs though, it's no longer THAT warm in London but it was alright for popping outside the car for a short "pix fix" and then pulling over for a hot meal and coffee.

These loafers arrived just in time to replace my ZARA leopard flats that are falling apart by now due to their severe abuse over the past three years. Been really itchy to try them on with something bright (done), but they will work just as well with anything muted/monochrome.

Hey guys! Here is a little sum up of the last week and cheers to the new one, especially with Christmas approaching! Been busy rearranging and cleaning the flat to give it a fresh look and finally put a Christmas tree up. On another note, my blog marks 1,5 years today and I'm really happy to see the number of readers exceeding four thousands on both following platforms now as it's a good sign and the best motivation to continue what I'm doing. New on the Shelf: Anomalous Shoes

Picked up these monsters at Topshop the other day, uhm after almost two hours spent at the shoe department. I haven't been that keen on their stuff lately but this time got me in a real decision making trouble, kind of want to go back to get another... Oh shut up now.

The curved heels actually do look awesome once on and lace-up boots are super comfortable for their height, so bugger off haters (the boy and my best friend) I'm totally keeping these, plus this ugly couple that I clicked home today both in black and leo ;-)

Update: ok now these were totally unnecessary but for twenty quid it would have been a sin to pass by! Love the deep colour and bold heel.

Sorry to be all annoying and taking a little too long to reveal what was in the package, but finally here's the first piece I received from LOVE; there were two of them and I managed to wear both this weekend so I'll be sharing the second look soon, meanwhile make sure to check the amazing new stock here.

I was really pleased with a couple of things I got from LOVE earlier this year (remember these trousers?) so got pretty excited over the idea of trying something new and this dress was exactly what got my attention thanks to its muted unusual colour. It will be great for Summer but for now I decided to add some fur to make it work just as well for Fall!

Cheating a Cheetah

Remember these mirror effect nails from July post? Yesterday I finally decided to try out the other set I got in cheetah, available here. I quite liked it! What do you think?

For those who are interested, it took me about 15 minutes to apply these since I cheated and didn't apply heat this time ( and TBH I didn't see much difference). I'd recommend full manicure though including buffing your nails before you use the stickers as they do apply better on the smooth surface and it's just looks much neater this way. Stick and trim- ready!

Will do my best to put yesterday outfit's post together at some point, though got a few things scheduled for today. Hope to speak to you soon!

A Present

Sorry to keep you waiting, so here's what I wore the skirt with...

I'm glad you guys liked it because I'm in love with it too. Jones + Jones were kind enough to send this layered beauty to me as a gift back in August, shame it didn't arrive in time for my holiday in Russia though, but at least I got to wear it a couple of times before packing it away till warmer days. It's such a head turner I must tell you! I wish I had it in every colour as it has got to be the most flattering shape/design I own. Considering getting one in black or gold metallic to wear over tights in Fall/Winter.

The pop art trend that I've been researching for uni might have gotten in me a little too much lately! I didn't want to add too many pictures not to hurt your eyes, but you get the idea ;-) Now back to my trend and mood boards...

I know 90% comments on this blog are about it but I'm seriously tired of it and it's just a matter of time before I'm gonna have it chopped, meanwhile stocking up on some inspiration and ideas. I haven't deliberately done anything for it to grow that long or have this "ombre" effect. I used to experiment with my hair a lot when I was at school but when I got pregnant I stopped so you can imagine I'm craving for a change for a while now!

P.S. Speaking of hair, I was approached by my blog follower last weekend while randomly sitting in a cafe in South Kensington. She'd obviously recognize me by my long tresses :D

Event: Mr. Brainwash Premiere Exhibition

Here it is, my photodiary from yesterday night as promised. I guess the pictures speak for themselves but it was indeed very fun night, one of those that remind me why I love this city.

The exhibition itself met my best expectations with its fresh and beautiful work while the artist, Mr. Thierry Guetta, was lovely enough to pose for the pictures and talk to the guests the whole night. Although the entrance was by invitation only, it did get quite crowded after a while but the atmosphere was still very warm, relaxed and homelike to leave too early. I'm totally glad I went, not only did I get a whole bunch of material for my research on Pop Art trend for the uni, but also had the best time with my closest people.

To continue the night we headed over to the much-talked-about "The Sketch" for dinner, and oh well, the verdict is, it's probably a great place for drinks but not so much for food! We weren't impressed with the kitchen, unlike the interior that the place is famous for. Do the cool toilets make up for the rubbish dishes? Maybe!

Tan and Go

Here are a few snaps from the weekend with my friend. We started out with getting some tan in the local park and, let me tell you, after a couple of such sessions during the hot few days that we had, I got the tan no worse than during my whole holiday in Russia. Lovely!

Keepin my make-up to the minimum and looks simple and relaxed lately- summer habbit that stuck with me! So don't want to go back to layers...

Anyway, my break is almost over so I better rush for my class. Got an event to attend this evening, hopefully I'll get some cool photos to share with you! Speak later x

Q&A: Education

Morning, guys! I thought I'd do a quick post to clear up some questions about my course and things related to it.

I'm doing Fashion Futures with Photography which is a combined degree in UEL. It's only my second week there but the program has been quite intense from the beginning, so we'd already gotten out on assignments and visited exhibitions. Briefly, it's a course for people who like fashion but are rather into working with ready garments than designing themselves, so no drawing and sewing (hopefully). I also wanted to continue with my photography and get into more detail having learnt basics at college last year, so this course seemed like a perfect combination for me not having to compromise neither of my two passions.

Also, many of you keep asking which equipment I use to take my photos. It's Nikon D90 with 50mm 1.4/18-105mm lenses. I've had this camera for a year and I'm still happy with it, not planning to upgrade any time soon.

Hey guys! It's been a long time again yet it passed by quickly for me having been on the most amazing holidays with my family in Russia. It was so good to be back there that I totally took the advantage of my "time off" but I promise to catch you up on my trip. I didn't even have time to go through the photos yet as I had uni stuff to sort out upon my arrival, but hey, I'm uni student now! In fact, that was my first week there and I can already tell it's gonna be intense but exciting. Here I am, checking exhibitions and getting inspired for the assignment like a proper student. And no, it's not the fact that this particular one was held in "Selfridges"...

Excuse the promotional foodie shot, it's just that I was way too happy to finally get my hands on sushi. Three portions to make up for three sushi-less months, please!

Morning everyone! It's a really early one for me since I'm leaving to Russia today, just in a couple of hours. I can't believe after four long years I'm finally going there just like the good old times! Estonian Summer

Hope this makes your morning! Sharing some of the pictures of the boys (my son and my little brother) that I took during our stay in Estonia. Although it's getting colder now, we can't complain about the weather this year- Summer has been awesome! I'm so glad I took my boy here, especially in the light of current situation in London. It's extremely sad to watch the news, see the city being destroyed and have my friends going through this mess. I really hope everything settles down soon.

I'm still in Estonia, enjoying the last bits of Summer which I'm not yet ready to say "goodbye" to. Those handcrafted pieces I wore were sent to me by really cool online shop The Coven. I don't know if it's my inner witch speaking, but I'm totally digging the stuff! That fringe vest gotta be another favourite. As for my one, it's actually more wearable than it might seem and can be thrown on top of literally anything for some careless chic.

On another note, the weather's been a bit crap lately, lot like London but I'm still enjoying my stay here regardless. Got a few shoots coming up this weekend (working behind the lens this time) but hopefully will manage to take more outfit shots in between. Event: J Model Management Summer Fashion Show

1, 2 A little preview of the dresses that Sam from Killdarling kindly sent to me all the way from LA! The maxi one had to pass as the dress code's "evening gown" for the night, but I'll definitely wear it again (and again) along with the other two, meanwhile check out the cool collection!

8 - 13 The show itself: amazing location, almost 30 high fashion and high street brands, cool music choice, cute goodie bags. I bet you CAN'T tell who was my favourite model from the show.

Here is an unposted look from weeks ago when we had been blessed with Summer for about... two days?

The skirt was kindly sent to me by lovely Carys from Goldie London and with its print and colour this maxi makes a perfect fresh addition to my Summer wardrobe. The high waist and the length are the most flattering and the fabric is extremely light and flowy- beautiful! I had to wear some nude cycling shorts underneath though since it's really sheer :)

I've also got another cute piece from Goldie that I'll keep until warmer days. Meanwhile thinking of getting my hands on this beauty here.

This month got unexpectedly busy as I received invitations for uni interviews and being completely unprepared I had to do lots of work to put my portfolio together, but after weeks of printing and drawing I can happily say that I'll be starting my degree in Fashion Futures and Photography later this year : )

Now my mom is joining us for a week in London and after that my bestie from Estonia is moving in with us! 12 watching the bling bling the other night with my cous & friends. Gonna miss that alley; day or night, being 15 minutes walk away from home it is such a cool place to chill in(explains the overload of pictures with the tower)

Biiiig thanks to the family here for having me around and making my stay such a bliss! Now it's time to get my own family in one place. Got more flights to catch this week!

Paris: Randomness At Its Best

Waking up to a very French view from my window, needing nothing but simple white tee, skinnies and a pair of well worn-in boots, wearing glasses and no make-up, relaxing on the grass near the Tour Eiffel, people watching (and photographing), having crappy overpriced crêpes at Tour Effel, having delicious crêpes at Montparnasse, sunbathing by the Seine, browsing through souveniers, walking on the long distances, discovering beautiful hidden places, attempting to learn some French with my cousin, having a good laugh about all of the above and oh well, switching the damn lenses all the time (not captured). That was my Paris. More in the next post.

Roses Are Red

Hope you don't mind a little overload of pictures on Intrigue Me Now, that's the narrowest I could go choosing from hundreds of photos taken on a single day with my cousin (she is one quick learner!). We were out and about on Avenue des Champs-Élysées despite the rainy forecast, which luckily turned out to be wrong!

It's my third time here in Paris and so far it's the best one season-wise. I never came here during the Summer yet but I was told it gets way too hot, so Spring is really the time to be here, I guess! By the way, thank you for all the Paris tips, I will try to make the most of them : )

Waking Up To French Sun

Bonjour! I have arrived to Paris yesterday night! It was like the quickest flight ever; only did I manage to close my eyes hoping for some rest- "Ladies and gentlemen, we will be landing in 25 minutes, hope you had a pleasant flight" :D

Something Sparkly

A bit late on posting these, but I've been busy shopping for bits and bobs for my trip, huh!

Anyways, here are some photos from the beach the boyf and I drove to on the weekend. Funnily, it was my first time outside London during almost five years spent in UK! Definitely not the last one though- I'm so going back there on hotter days. It's sunny but still pretty cold over here, despite many locals trying to create an illusion of the opposite and rush into Summer skipping the Spring. Needless to say there were few people in the water too, D'OH!

Thursday Class: Colour Gels

Adding some colour to photographs by playing around with gels. I definitely loved that technique and will try to use it again in some creative way next time I have a chance!

Last Thursday in the studio turned out to be pretty exhausting as I was doing all the modelling for my mates but hey, I'm on my holiday now! My cousin-in-law arrived from Portugal yesterday and I'm looking forward to our trip next week! As for now, I'm going to enjoy a sunny weekend in London! Make sure to enjoy yours wherever you are! x

"Intrigue" Smokey Eyes

You've asked for it!

As we were shooting outfit photos yesterday I decided to try out some outdoor lighting tips and take close-up shots (Yes, I'm hooked on those since the blue-lash post below) In fact, I was so pleased with how eye make-up came out on these pics, that I decided it is a good opportunity to tell you a bit about it!

I never did tutorials and I don't follow any, nor do I know anything about make-up on a professional level. What you see is basically what I learnt through my own experiments with make-up, hope it will do!

Press the link below to see a close-up shot and read the step-by-step description if interested.

Step 1: Apply dark circle concealer (Use this trick even if you don't have dark circles, a shade lighter than the rest of your skin tone will freshens up the whole face instantly! just look at celebs ;)

Step 2: Apply mascara on upper lashes only (from roots to tips)

Step 3: Pick two colors of eyeshadow (I use either khaki + dark grey or blue+ dark grey combinations)

Step 4: Mark the arch above the natural crease of the lid with lighter color. (You have to work with your own eye shape! Make sure it looks good from all angles!) Fill it in with the same color.

Step 5: Apply dark shadow closer around your eye. Blend in both colors and make them fade gradually with a brush.

Step 6: Apply black pencil on both inner and outer lid. Blend it in with eyeshadow.

Step 7: Apply another coat of mascara on upper and bottom lashes.

Step 8: Attach false eyelashes if you wish (I'm using "Girlfriend" falsies by Urban Decay here). Add another coat of mascara to mix them in with your own lashes.

Step 9: Apply liquid liner around the lashes area.

Step 10: Apply more concealer to make sure you get rid of eyeshadow that might have fallen onto foundation.

*Before I do any of this, I use eye drops to whiten my eyes as they are often red.

**I'm not going into details about particular products I use as I think it does not matter. As long as the make-up is fresh and clean/carefully applied [I think] it looks good regardless of the brand.

Event: A Day With Designers

Here is the set of pics from last Saturday! There was another protest that day so I was lucky to have made it just before Oxford Street became way too crowded, not even mentioning the transport!

Got to spend a great day chatting to designers, trying on some amazing pieces, receiving a free makeover and putting the flashgun borrowed from college to use to capture all of the above (loved shooting with it, def. gonna get myself one!) One of the real perks though was getting to know Una Burke (pictured dressing me in one of her pieces) in person, not only she is extremely talented and sweet but she is also a graduate of London College of Fashion, just like Lee Klabin who I got to meet last year! With ladies that creative, this uni is up high in my list of applications... In fact, you might soon see and recognize Una's accessory on one of the HUGE celebs, can't reveal more than that, sorry!

Since the streets were still crowded and messy by the end of the day, our big company headed to a lovely restaurant in Knightsbridge for a delicious meal and more chats, we only got home by 12, but it was so worth it!

Thursday Class: Oh So Lashious

Thursday was a bit of a mess because of the protest, our teacher didn't make it at all so we were just each busy with our things and I took my time to do a bit of styling and make-up. What do you think of electric blue eyes? I was using it a lot 2 years ago, but not lately. I think I might give it a try again, it stands out beautifully against the sunlight. I completely forgot to take a plain shot of my "model of the day" which was Fatima. Thank you for your patience, babe, and sorry for the numb hand LOL!

Army On A Mission

Out and about with class taking photos for the landscape assignment this afternoon. The choice of an outfit was an absolute miss yet again. I killed my feet within uhm, first 15 minutes? and had to do some unlayering due to the weather a bit too hot for March (not that I complain) I've had those heels for about a month now, not being able to decide whether to keep or return them, but today it just hit me instantly they're a keepo.

I get asked about my studies a lot, so in the spirit of this post let me tell you about it briefly.

It's a very general one year photography course at Tower Hamlets College (East London), so we've got everything from traditional black and white photography/dark room to reportage, studio, fashion etc and we also do a bit of writing (essays and stuff) and Photoshop. Classes run on Thursdays and Fridays only but from 9 to 6, so it's still considered a full-time course while giving flexibility to those who work or look after kids. Another bonus is an opportunity to borrow all sorts of equipment from college loan club (note-to-self: need to do it more often). I find it really interesting and helpful and would definitely recommend it to anybody who is more or less interested in photography, cos it's a type of thing that is always good to have as a side skill even if you are not planning to go further into uni or anything ;-)

I will post yesterday's studio shots on the weekend, and hopefully some photos from tomorrow ; )

Mango "Work It"

Received an invitation for Mango "Work It" event last week so the boy and I decided to stop by their flagship store for an hour or so. Honestly, I didn't really get what the event was about, but who cares? Food and drinks were nice and I got to wear some of my recent buys oh and take a lovely goodie bag home with me ha ha. Topped it off with a movie afterwards.

Sorry for the lame "polaroids" I was messing around with ISO on my camera the other day and completely forgot to change it back, so these sh#t pictures will have to do before the next outfit post! The shorts are my lucky find, been looking for a perfect high waisted leather pair for over a year, but none fit right, would have got them in black too if they weren't 90 bloody quid.

I'm not sure how I feel about bold colours and shocking combos trend, as I'm "nude" kinda girl, but I decided to give it a try in small dozes anyway. This combination randomly popped into my head the other day, so I reached for the brights taking the advantage of longer nails. What do you think- yes or no?

Thursday Class: Talk To The Hand

Hi there! I swear my absence was for a good cause this time )

I just had to catch up on school stuff after a month of travelling, but it's all done now and I can finally use the studio for my own projects! Took these photos on the week and it was pretty much the first time I got to do it myself, so I'm kinda pleased with the result but of course it's gonna take much more practise! So looking forward to being confident with all the lighting etc, as I got some amazing girlfriends coming in to model for me for the fashion brief! Meanwhile I will be posting pics from every week's photoshoots where I'm gonna try to be both behind and in front of the lense ; )

p.s. How pretty is the girl? ; ) I'm lucky to be studying with the loveliest people, I'm telling you!

Since I had to come back to London yesterday for this week's classes, my schoolmate and I had a little themed photoshoot to cheer me up cos I was a bit down about not spending the day with my family.

Hi again! Sorry for taking a bit long to post the pictures, I had to sacrifice Mac and my whole luggage to make it to Estonia last week! We nearly lost our flight thanks to our beloved Daddy and had to leave everything behind. Have never travelled in such mess, but I'm glad we made it at all and I got to spend time with my family :-)

As some of you can notice, I've decided to add more photos to this post since I had such a great respond from you, guys! Thank you for all the lovely comments, they really make me want to post more often (read: feel guilty for not posting frequent enough)!

I had an overload of photos from that day, which was very touristic indeed. The cousins took me for a long walk around Belém and beautiful promenade and then of course we filled ourselves with at least a dozen of pastéis de natas. Mmm... I'm definitely back for more : )

p.s. I'm especially flattered by your compliments on the make-up! Haven't realised you guys didn't see photos of me for so many months; basically it's my new routine eye make-up since October to substitute the smoky eyes, because it's much quicker for school yet still rockin'.

Paris Nord - St Pancras

So we made it back to London, safe and sound. Now I have just about enough time to repack for ice age in Estonia, since we have a flight to catch in the morning! Temperature there has been reaching up to -30 degrees lately and the only thought of it already gives me chill bumps!

Meanwhile I will still be posting photos from Lisbon, where the weather was much friendlier for the outfit posts, and I know you've been waiting for one from me! :-) I managed to pick and edit some photos while on the train so stay tuned!

Olá! So some of you got it right, it was Portugal we travelled to and after almost two weeks spent there we finally got back to London this Thursday just in time for my classes and little man's nursery, but not for long! I am already talking to you from Paris where we came to spend the weekend before going to Estonia for my half term, and since it's been raining here all day long I'm trying to take the advantage of it and have some rest in-between the trips and go through 2000+ pictures from Lisbon.

Here are the airport ones I wanted to share with you. This time I literally followed my travel buddies with the camera throughout all the trip and to my surprise none of the stuff approached me and said anything: good for me and my school assignment! )

P.S. How excited was this kid to get his very own luggage? Before he used to grab mine, and now he wheels around his monkey with one hand and still helps me with my bag with another! :-)

Hi, guys! It's been months since I last posted and I know you've been worried, I have received so many letters asking me what was going on and if I was going to post again. I did not plan to disappear for so long and I'm definitely NOT quitting blogging yet, but apart from being busy with college and travelling since the end of last year also my laptop broke down and I've been quite limited on using Internet at all. The good thing is that I have tons of pics to share, and I will start doing so as soon as I return from my current trip and hopefully have the laptop issue sorted.

Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know I'm fine and will be back shortly, thanks for baring with me and sending me all those wonderful letters, I will make sure to reply to each one of them as soon as I have proper access to Internet.

It's been too long since proper outfit posts, so I didn't have a chance to show you my purchases over the past few weeks. Besides Wang-ish boots from Paris post, here are some new arrivals in the form of suede pumps from Aldo and ASOS.com twin ankle boots.

p.s. These are pretty much the heels that survived past my ebay-ing, returns etc as I try to get rid of the items I don't use, unless they mean something special to me. It's good to keep everything in rotation

Last Friday I couldn't make up my mind whether I was going to attend Lee Klabin's Couture SS11 collection presentation , I was just rollin around in bed with terrible cold and loads of tissue by my side- pretty unsexy. I didn't even have any outfit planned except that I knew I really wanted to wear my red shoes. Ended up picking up these camel beauties like last minute in a closest shopping centre and headed to the event.

There was no outfit post meant to be since I wasn't well but you got an idea anyways. I'll make sure to wear a combination of these colors in one form or another again some time soon! :-)

The presentation itself turned out to be really really nice and I enjoyed myself a lot. To the point of forgetting to NOT mix alcohol and medications, haha.

Loved the fact that atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, there was no FW fuss and even photographers and press seemed to blend in with the rest of guests very well, so it felt like a big big family with people circulating around the room, discussing the new pieces and having fun :-)

It was such a pleasure to meet Lee (pictured above) in person and have a chat with her. Extremely charming young lady and such an inspiration esp since I found out that she is a graduate of LCF where I'm aiming to study next year!

We have even exchanged a few words in Russian, LOL

The new collection which is called 'Reflections from Within' of course left me speachless but I'm not showing any pics yet cause I'll be back in their showroom to try on the pieces as I did here ;)

The only thing I hate right now is having fallen ill. That's the part that sucks. Also because it couldn't be a worse time since tomorrow is a first day at college and there's been an amazing event planned for Friday. Fingers crossed I get my voice back by then!

For now, cheering myself up over a mug of hot milk with honey and starring at some of the new purchases.. think bunch of stretched knits, oversized scarves and patterned tights.

Topshop VFNO

So bad at posting up to date: photos from Wednesday's Fashion Night Out.

Went there alone and spent most of the time in Topshop, the atmosphere and cocktails were nice but where are all those fierce-six inches-super-thick heels at?? There sure are some crazy items in magazines and lookbooks, but what about the store?

Anyways, I got three new pairs from somewhere else this week, will post later. And a little treat from Selfridges where me and my newly made friend Izzen popped in at the end of the FNO.

Wore same dress with AA nudies underneath; Isabelle's ring is by McQueen and lipstick is Tom Ford Private Blend Lip Color in "Black Orchid". I'm mentioning this because it's pretty close to what I had on my lips in the previous post. I have received so many questions about the lipstick color- the truth is it's a lip pencil! After looking for something dark, not sheer and matte I gave up and got this L'oreal Studio Secrets in 041 Plum which works as good on previously moisturised lips.

It's been a week since I'm back to London, and it has indeed been a busy week! I was happy to find some freebies waiting for me at home, have my good friend joining me two days later to spend a couple of weeks with me and make some massive Fall shopping together. I know I've been bad at posting lately but thank you guys for baring with me, cause hopefully it will soon pay off as I got a lot of interesting offers coming in and - ta dam!! - I got enrolled into Fashion Photography course last week yay! which will hopefully give me a bigger playground for what I love to do as well :-)

Anyway, here is the first set of pictures from Lee Klabin showroom that my boyf and I got to visit last week thanks to lovely Desiree. I don't think I have ever seen something that complicated and well thought through but at the same time so amazingly simple. I love how the color palette is classic, lines are clean and sharp but there's still a lot of texture clashing and playing with the shape going on!

Although the brand is quite new, it is already being sold in Harrods and stars like S J Parker and Lily Cole have been spotted wearing the gorgeous pieces. The biggest perk of this whole experience was the opportunity to try on whatever clothes I wanted but I'm sharing those photos in my next post later on :-)

Furry Pretty Things

Those were probably the last Summer-ish days I got to capture on the photos in my previous post, the Fall is taking over fast and I'm really excited about it since I'm not a fan of sandals and minimum clothes. Lots of layers, boots and winter accessories these are the key words that sound like more fun to me!

For example how cool are these furry scarves/collars from ASOS? That's exactly the way I love to wear them- with messy hair tucked in which gives you relaxed and carelessly chic look. I loved them so much I couldn't choose one so I got all three n they better be home soon ;-)
